Studio BHD was approached by an existing client, to maximize the potential of a Higgovale property, where the garage had the best views in the house.

We designed a new penthouse apartment that would lightly sit on the existing structure of the property. The new top floor had sweeping views of lions head and through the Higgovale Valley.

One of the key design elements was the lightweight steel roof structure which opened up to the views to allow the crest pf Table Mountain to be seen from the other side. This also allowed us to keep the windows at a high level position to eradicate privacy issue to the neighboring property.
