We had to carefully consider the existing levels, building footprint, and natural topography to ensure a design that feels both intentional and harmonious within its surroundings. The design strategically scales up to maximize sightlines, balancing openness with privacy and creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces.

The design utilizes existing angles and forms to drive new elements while simplifying levels for fluidity. View corridors and highlights frame the landscape, and the building mass is positioned as a natural shield against wind and sun. Materiality draws from the surroundings, incorporating Cape granite cladding and angled off-shutter concrete, reinforcing a comfortable yet contemporary aesthetic that is both elegant and grounded in nature. Key spaces include four spacious bedrooms, dedicated staff accommodation, and thoughtfully designed entertainment and hosting spaces, featuring a niche to enhance the experience. The home blends social areas with intimate, tranquil spaces, fostering both lively gatherings and quiet retreats.
