The design foregrounds an internal oasis—an resort-like experience within a private home—centered on a swim-up pool, firepit, and layered outdoor rooms that blur the distinction between indoors and out.

Timber is the unifying voice of the project. The house is wrapped in timber screens and cladded elements that echo the client’s craft, creating a warm, tactile skin that ages gracefully. The screens modulate light and view, offering filtered transparency and a living texture that links each space to the surrounding environment while providing controlled privacy. This timber language also serves as a nod to the family’s lineage in furniture making, celebrating material honesty, joinery, and the beauty of natural grain. Internally, spatial arrangements prioritize generous communal zones for family life and showcases for timber work, with open-plan living that flows toward the outdoor oasis. The palette emphasizes natural materials, refined detailing, and a sense of calm luxury, ensuring the home remains welcoming and timeless, yet distinctly crafted.
