Brackenridge 8248

The idea behind the design on this sloping site was to create a private street facing façade with a modest single storey appearance, highlighting the split pitch roof aesthetic of Brackenridge. The house then terraces down the slope to engage with the views and modern indoor-outdoor living.

The material palette of the house is subdued with a light ‘sea shore’ colour corrugated roof, clado calyx timber slatting and duo toned plaster and paint walls in a soft off white with warm grey features.

The house appears to float above the ground allowing the nature from the green corridor to permeate into the houses two green courtyards and under the cantilevered lower decks to reduce the houses ‘footprint’ on the erf.
